If you had told me four years ago, when I first stepped into the classroom, that I’d be spending my evenings exploring the "transformative power of Artificial Intelligence," I probably would have laughed. As a Maths and Music teacher, my world was already full, balanced between the rigid logic of equations and the fluid creativity of a musical score.

But like every teacher I know, I hit a wall early on.

It wasn’t the teaching that was the problem; I love the "aha!" moment when a student finally grasps fractions or masters a difficult rhythm. The problem was the everything else. The endless admin, the Sunday nights spent differentiating three versions of the same worksheet, and the feeling that I was perpetually 20 steps behind the 21st-century world my students were living in.

I created TeacherTech because I realised that we don't have to choose between being a "traditional" teacher and a "tech-forward" one. We can have both.

The Bridge Between Logic and Creativity

People often ask how I balance Maths and Music. To me, they’ve always been two sides of the same coin. Teaching is exactly the same:

  • The Logic (The Maths): We need efficiency. We need systems that work, data that makes sense, and lesson plans that don't take four hours to write.

  • The Creativity (The Music): We need to spark curiosity. We need the "human" time to actually talk to our students, mentor them, and inspire them.

TeacherTech is the bridge.

Why Now?

We are living through a massive shift in education. Artificial Intelligence isn't just a buzzword; it’s a tool that, when used correctly, can act as a high-speed teaching assistant.

But I noticed a gap. There’s a lot of "tech talk" out there that feels overwhelming or—frankly—not designed for a real classroom with 30 students and a broken glue stick.

I wanted to create a space that was different. On this site, you won’t find jargon. You’ll find:

  • Practical Tips: Real-world ways to use AI (like Gemini) to differentiate instruction in seconds.

  • Curated Resources: Only the tools that actually save time, not add to the clutter.

  • Go-To Prompts: Tried-and-tested AI prompts that you can copy, paste, and use tomorrow morning.

Let’s Explore Together

TeacherTech isn't about replacing the teacher. It’s about empowering the teacher. It’s about bringing our classrooms into the 21st century so that we can be more efficient, more effective, and—most importantly—more present for our students.

I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you’re a mathlete, a musician, or just a teacher looking to reclaim your Sunday night, let’s find the harmony in the tech together.

Welcome to the future of our classrooms.

P.S. Next time, I’m sharing my 'Magic 3'—the three AI prompts that save me hours of planning. Don't miss it!
